Nestled near to the junction of Whitehall and Lyell Streets, 295 Whitehall Street was once home to the principal engineering workshop of the former Mt Lyell operation. The old Mt Lyell site consists of three buildings of historical and architectural significance. To prepare the site for restoration works, SIDA Constructions engaged Avello to carry out the following:
The aim of heritage conservation is to ensure that the cultural significance of historical items is maintained over time. In acknowledgement of the heritage significance of the listed building involved in this project, Avello approached the task of cleaning and repainting 295 Whitehall Street with extra care and attention.

As a result of Avello’s expert project management, 295 Whitehall Street was readied for its rebirth as a usable structure. Proving that a methodical approach is key to the mindful revival of heritage-listed structures.
The shared vision for the project was to return a heritage-listed gem to its former functional glory, a dream that was delivered by Avello to benefit their client and the entire community—a neighborhood that can now watch on as the historical structure embraces a new lease on life.
